During 2014 and 2015, the National Quarries Inspection Team (NQIT) will undertake an initiative looking at the measures taken in quarries to control exposure to respirable crystalline silica (RCS). A number of visits to sites will be timed to coincide with the broader campaign being run by the HSE’s Construction Division later on this month.
